The Basics

What is a fee-only financial advisor?

A fee-only financial advisor is compensated exclusively by the client — no commissions, no product sales, no referral fees. At Golden Acre, our only compensation comes directly from you. This eliminates conflicts of interest and means every recommendation is in your best interest, full stop.

What is a fiduciary financial advisor?

A fiduciary is legally and ethically required to act in your best interest at all times — not just recommend "suitable" products as commission-based advisors can. Golden Acre operates as a fiduciary in every client engagement, with no exceptions and no fine print.

What is a CFP® professional?

A CFP® professional has met the CFP Board's education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements — the recognized standard for financial planning. The certification covers investments, retirement, insurance, tax, and estate strategy, and carries a fiduciary obligation. Aaron Randak holds the CFP® certification alongside his Enrolled Agent license.

What is an Enrolled Agent (EA)?

An Enrolled Agent is a federally licensed tax professional authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. EAs pass a comprehensive IRS examination covering all aspects of federal tax law and are authorized to represent clients directly before the IRS for audits, collections, and appeals. Very few advisors hold both the CFP® certification and the EA license. Aaron does, which means tax expertise is built into your financial plan, not outsourced.

Is Golden Acre Wealth Management a registered firm?

Yes. Golden Acre Wealth Management LLC is a Registered Investment Adviser registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission (CRD #337930). Our Form ADV and full disclosures are available upon request. Registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training.

Who holds my money?

Not Golden Acre. Your accounts are opened in your own name at an independent custodian — Charles Schwab or Altruist — and your statements come directly from them, not from us. Your advisory agreement gives Aaron authority to manage and trade the accounts; it does not allow him to move your money to a third party. If you ever ended the relationship, the accounts and the assets would stay exactly where they are.
Services & Fees

What services does Golden Acre offer?

Five services, all included in one advisory fee:
  • Investment Management — discretionary portfolio management tailored to your goals, timeline, and tax situation.
  • Retirement Planning — Social Security timing, withdrawal sequencing, Roth conversions, and income that lasts.
  • Tax Planning — year-round strategy from an Enrolled Agent; return preparation quoted separately as a flat fee.
  • Estate & Legacy Planning — beneficiary and titling reviews, legacy strategy, and coordination with your attorney.
  • Inheritance & Windfall Planning — inherited IRA rules, step-up in basis, and a calm plan for the proceeds.

One-time plans, hourly advice, and standalone tax preparation are also available for those not ready for full management.

Can you handle both my investments and my taxes?

Yes — and this is one of the things that makes Golden Acre different. Aaron Randak is a CFP® professional and an Enrolled Agent — the planning credential and the federal tax license in one advisor. Your investment strategy and your tax strategy are managed together by the same person, in the same plan. Roth conversions, bracket management, equity compensation decisions, and tax return prep all happen under one roof.

How much does Golden Acre charge?

For investment management: 1.50% on the first $250,000, scaling down to 0.75% above $2 million, billed quarterly in advance. Flat-fee financial planning and hourly coaching are also available. All fees are negotiable and fully disclosed in our Form ADV. There are no hidden charges and no account minimum. See the full fee schedule →

Do you have a minimum asset requirement?

No. We believe good financial advice shouldn't only be available to those who already have millions invested. We offer flexible options — AUM-based management, flat-fee planning, and hourly coaching — to fit different needs and stages of life. All fees are negotiable.
Who We Work With

Who are your typical clients?

Advice here starts with your situation. The five we know best:
  • Pre-Retirees — five to ten years out, answering whether the date you have in mind actually works.
  • Retirees — a paycheck from the portfolio, RMDs, Medicare, and the surviving-spouse plan.
  • Inheritors — inherited IRAs, the ten-year clock, and knowing what's actually urgent.
  • Sudden Wealth — a business sale, IPO, settlement, or windfall, planned before and after the money lands.
  • Tech & Corporate Professionals — RSUs, ISOs, ESPP, and a net worth concentrated in one employer.

Browse them all at Who We Serve. Business owners and other situations are welcome too. If the fit is right, the category doesn't matter.

Do you work with clients outside of Arizona?

Yes. While Golden Acre is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, we work with clients across the United States. All meetings are available virtually, so location is never a barrier to getting the same level of personal service. State registration rules determine where we can take on new clients, so ask and we'll confirm for your state.

Are you available for evening or weekend meetings?

Yes. Most people work during standard business hours — we get it. Golden Acre offers flexible evening and weekend appointments so your financial planning can fit your schedule, not the other way around.
